Ministry: Russia’s spring sowing falls 7.5% on year as of Friday

MOSCOW, May 19 (PRIME) -- Russian farmers sowed 30.66 million hectares with spring crops as of Friday, which is a 7.5% decrease compared to the area sown as of the same date in 2016, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement.

The sown area accounts for 58.2% of the area planned for sowing spring crops.
